A wire transfer is an electronic transfer of money. Many money transferring services have limits on how much you can send, whereas wire transfers allow you to send out larger dollar amounts. Most wire transfers can be cleared within the same day.
Copper State Credit Union does not accept wires from international banks or send international wires. Copper State CU will verify that you have a signed Wire Transfer Agreement before completing a wire request. If you do not have a wire transfer agreement on file, please visit a Copper State CU branch to complete the form. Please see the Fee Schedule for more information regarding the wire service fee.
Wire transfers can be completed one of the following ways:
Members will be asked to sign a Funds/Wire Transfer Request form and present a photo ID when requesting a wire transfer in-person.
The following information is required to complete a wire transfer:
- Wire amount
- ABA/routing number
- Name of receiving financial institution
- Beneficiary name – name of person or company that will receive the funds
- Beneficiary account number
- Beneficiary address
- Purpose of wire
- Beneficiary financial institution – needed only if receiving financial institution uses a third party to process wire transfers
- Name of beneficiary financial institution
- Beneficiary institution address
- Beneficiary institution ABA/routing number
Monday – Friday Deadline for Sending Wire Transfers
The deadline for all outbound wire transfers is 1:00 PM MST Monday – Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Any requests for wire transfers received after this time will be processed the following business day.

Catalyst Corporate does not have a SWIFT code that allows international wires to be sent directly to Catalyst Corporate CU. The sending foreign bank will need to go through its US correspondent bank or a foreign correspondent bank that has a banking relationship with a US correspondent bank.
